Project Description

This telephone survey of New Orleans area families who left the welfare rolls in March - April, 1998 examines the consequences for families of ending welfare payments. This study was a one-time cross-sectional telephone survey. Work characteristics, recent problems and reasons for leaving welfare were explored.

Cross-sectional -- respondents were surveyed via telephone. N=349. Unit of analysis = individual respondent
